Professional services and technologies provider KBR has secured a support contract from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The contract will run until 2022 and has an option to be further extended until 2025.

Under the contract, the company will be responsible for providing communications network support. Additionally, it will deliver training services in the Middle East.
KBR president and CEO Stuart Bradie said: “We are excited to be a part of this significant long-term project and to expand our portfolio of work with the UK MoD in the Middle East.
“This win is indicative of KBR’s strategic commitment to growing our footprint in the government and defense sector.”
In November 2016, Aspire Defence, a Carillion and KBR joint venture (JV) won a construction and support services contract worth more than £1.1bn from the MoD.

By GlobalDataAs part of the contract designed to support the UK Army Basing Programme, the Aspire Defence JV provided facilities management support services.
Under the Army Basing Programme, troops from Germany will return and resettle by this year.
KBR and its partner Aspire Defence are responsible for managing the existing British Army estate across the Salisbury Plain Training Area and at Aldershot.
They are also providing a range of facilities management services and overseeing the design, consent, demolition, new build, and refurbishment of garrison buildings for Project Allenby / Connaught.
KBR has been working since 2003 to enhance troop facilities through the upgrade of the MoD’s Salisbury Plain and Aldershot Army garrisons.
