Cubic Corporation’s Cubic Mission Solutions (CMS) unit has secured a contract from the New Zealand Ministry of Defence to deliver command and control (C2) capabilities.

The C2 capabilities will support the Network Enabled Army (NEA) programme’s Tactical Network (TNet) project.

Set to be delivered in four tranches over a period of 12 years, the NEA programme will benefit the New Zealand Army’s Land Forces and Special Operations Forces.

Cubic Mission Solutions president Mike Twyman said: “As a leader in expeditionary C4ISR, the TNet project builds upon the success of the delivery of our GATR satellite terminals for the NEA programme.

“With our innovative and comprehensive C4ISR capabilities, we are confident in delivering a sustainable and integrated system that will meet the demands of the modern operating environment.”

Serving as a framework agreement, the TNet contract has multiple awards to address existing, emerging and future requirements through support of the four tranches.

Initially, based on its DTECH M3-SE and M3X product lines, Cubic will provide scalable and deployable command post computing solutions for hyper-enabled operations at all levels of command.

The company will deliver and support additional hardware, as well as technology insertion in the future to provide improved performance while reducing weight and power requirements.

Capabilities to be delivered through the NEA programme will support command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) and electronic warfare responses within the land tactical and operating arenas.
