DCGS-A is the army’s primary tool for posting data, processing information, and disseminating ISR information about threat levels, weather and terrain.

DCGS-A commanders will be able to task battle-space sensors, and receive intelligence from multiple sources.

The army recently announced plans to deploy a lighter, more user-friendly DCGS-A to reduce complexity issues.

It also announced plans to buy 49,099 joint light tactical vehicles, which will balance payload, performance and protection compared to the Humvee.

The vehicles are expected to reach initial operation capability in 2018.

ManTech currently provides support to approximately 50 federal agencies through 1,000 contracts.
