CACI International has been contracted to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command’s (INSCOM) Facilities, Infrastructure and Engineering Systems (FIRES) solution for a period of five years.

Under the terms of the $32.7m contract, CACI will serve as the FIRES solution architect, and provide services for the US INSCOM.

The contract will see CACI support a variety of fused, tailorable and scalable geospatial intelligence products.

It will also support CACI’s objective to deliver information on worldwide facilities and infrastructure to US Department of Defense (DoD).

CACI chief operating officer and president of US Operations John Mengucci said: "CACI delivers proven and highly specialised geospatial intelligence capabilities, combining open source with national protected data fusion, to assure the US Army of effective and timely support for intelligence on worldwide facilities and infrastructures of interest to our customers."

Headquartered in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, the army’s INSCOM conducts intelligence, security, and information operations for military commanders and national decision makers.

Last year, CACI secured an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity global intelligence support services (GISS) contract to provide intelligence support to the US INSCOM. The contract has a five-year performance period, and a maximum ceiling value of $5.2bn.

Under the contract, the company will provide a wide range of intelligence support, including command, control, communications, computers, intelligence and surveillance, as well as reconnaissance, logistics and material readiness, and analytics.
