The US Army has selected CACI International to provide technical analysis and lifecycle management support to US Fleet Forces Command (USFFC).

The four-year, $35m contract will continue CACI’s Logistics and Material Readiness market area support under the framework of its Seaport-e vehicle contract, secured in 2015.

SeaPort-e is the US Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support provisions in 22 serviceable areas.

Under the terms of deal, the company will provide technical assistance to maintain computer models of surface ship components and systems, including hulls and hardware for USFFC.

"We will continue to support the efficient, cost-saving allocation of military resources to maximise defence readiness and combat sustainability."

The contract is expected to enhance the efficiency of fleet maintenance while reducing costs.

CACI US Operations chief operating officer and president John Mengucci said: "This continuation of our work with USFFC demonstrates the value of our deep understanding of this customer’s mission, combined with CACI’s subject matter expertise in logistics and modelling, to help our customer ensure that America’s Navy is always ready for action."

The USFFC is responsible for organising, managing, training, and equipping the naval forces for deployment to Unified Command Combatant Commanders, who undergo operations in support of US national interests.
