Jacobs Engineering Group has secured a $436m contract from the US Department of Defense (DoD) to provide test support services for its Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Under the terms of the five-year indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract, the company will provide mission test support services to the ATC.

The ATC supports military and commercial developers by testing equipment throughout its lifecycle, from concept through to deployment.

Jacobs had already been contracted twice by the US DoD to support the ATC through two predecessor contracts and one bridge contract.

In 2011, the company won a contract from the US Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command to support the programme manager (PM) heavy brigade combat team (HBCT).

The one-year contract required the company to support production, product assurance and engineering services for all PM HBCT platform vehicles.
