Cubic’s subsidiary GATR Technologies has received an engineering services order to support the US Army’s transportable tactical command communications (T2C2) programme.
Valued at more than $5m, the order requires GATR to integrate and test five small and five medium-sized T2C2 inflatable satellite antenna terminals with software systems.

Cubic Global Defense communications, intelligence and surveillance systems executive vice-president Mike Twyman said: "GATR Technologies has worked closely with the US Army to develop a successful satellite communications programme with its unique and portable, inflatable satellite terminals.
"This award demonstrates the army’s commitment to innovative C4ISR technologies that support and expand the warfighter’s capabilities in remote locations."
The order was received under a small business innovative research (SBIR) contract.

By GlobalDataGATR delivered the terminals to the Project Manager Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (PM WIN-T) for more than $3.2m.
If the government exercises all full-rate production purchase orders, the T2C2 programme could provide more than 780 GATR terminals, according to Cubic.
