STG Group has received a contract to provide IT support to the US Army Civilian Information Services Division (CISD).

The $11m deal follows a cyber-security and information assurance support contract awarded to the company by the US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) earlier this month.

Under the latest contract, the company will provide a range of services to CISD for a period of 23 months.

"This latest award demonstrates our ability to develop and maintain a broad range of mission-critical systems for the US Army."

The contract covers system security, data management, software application support, engineering and integration, backup and recovery, quality assurance and training.

The company will also support three data centres, as well as information systems across 100 field sites.

Work under the contract will be managed by STG’s newly appointed senior vice-president and cyber-security sector lead Joe Nicholas.

The CISD develops and maintains the US Army’s civilian information systems.
