IAP Worldwide Services has received a contract to provide project manager, distributed common ground system-army (PM DCGS-A) support for the US Army.

Valued at $53m, the contract requires the company to provide integrated logistics, fielding, and training support for the PM DCGS-A at locations worldwide, including Fort Hood in Texas, US.

The contract covers hardware systems engineering, data processing, networking, hardware accreditation / certification, system reconciliations, training and warehouse operations.

DCGS-A provides data and disseminates intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) information about operational environments, weather, and terrain for army commanders.

Work will be performed under the Rapid Response Third Generation (R23G) contract vehicle, according to the company.

Earlier in September, DCGS-A was selected for a $900m contract by the US Navy.

The navy contract covers facility support services with incidental construction in support of natural disasters, humanitarian efforts and military actions worldwide.
