“ACCENT is intended to be used by all army commands and organisations that require commercial cloud hosting, data centre migration, transition support, and application modernisation services.”

The ACCENT programme covers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) models and components, which are managed directly by the application or system owner or purchased as a service from the cloud service provider.

The BOAs allow the army to obtain commercial cloud hosting services with any combination of service or deployment models and impact levels.

The US Army's cloud requirements may also include mobile computer solutions that provide cloud access through smartphones and tablets.
