Lockheed Martin has bought technology company 3Dsolve, which creates simulation-based learning systems for government, military and corporate application.

3Dsolve’s key strengths are multi-media, software engineering, digital artwork and instructional design.

Lockheed president of simulation, training and support Dale Bennett says the deal is a strong strategic fit with the company’s current strengths and future plans.

“The acquisition of 3Dsolve will strengthen out ongoing initiatives in the rapidly growing training and simulation market, allowing us to provide a broader array of solutions and service to our expanding customer base,” Bennett says.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
