A US Army AH-64 Apache helicopter has crashed nearly 50 miles east of Camp Humphreys in South Korea, killing two pilots on board.
The cause of the accident, which occurred during a routine training mission, is currently being investigated.

According to the Eighth Army Public Affairs Office, the pilots were operating with 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea / US Combined Division.
According to the US Forces Korea, the identities of the pilots will be withheld until next-of-kin have been notified.
Second combat aviation brigade deputy commander lieutenant colonel Mark Gillespie said: "We offer our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the families of the soldiers involved in this tragic incident.
"Our first priority is to provide their families with the support they need during this difficult time."

In June, the army decided to deactivate the 2nd Infantry Division’s 1st Armoured Brigade Combat Team after nearly 50 years of service in South Korea.
Comprising nearly 4,600 soldiers from 2nd Brigade Combat Team, the 1st Cavalry Division are scheduled to arrive in South Korea to replace the deactivating combat team.
