US-based CACI International has won a $900m contract for the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM)-wide mission support (SWMS) programme.
Under the terms of the five-year contract, the company will continue providing services in programme management, engineering and technical support, and professional services for the SOCOM on the SWMS programme.
CACI will provide programme management support, including assistance with strategic and operational planning, support for irregular warfare, and studies and analysis to SOCOM.
Other services to be offered include engineering and technical documentation development and support, analysis and evaluation, as well as research that optimises information management.
The contract, which covers several CACI market areas, enables the company to provide various mission-essential solutions and services to special operations forces (SOF).
CACI International US Operations chief operating officer and president John Mengucci said: "CACI will leverage our track record of providing innovative, high-value solutions and services to the US special operations command to enhance its capability to gain an operational advantage in performing its most complex assignments."
The SWMS programme is aimed at obtaining services support for global SOF.
SOCOM provides SOF to support networked and distributed global combatant command operations.
