The military supplies will include assault rifles, cartridges for the attack rifles and single-shot anti-tank weapons.
The military assistance will include anti-armour, body-armour, small arms, various munitions, and military equipment.
A US battalion is already undergoing training at the Pabradė Training Area, in Lithuania.
The UK has also got 1,000 personnel ready to support humanitarian responses, if required.
The withdrawal of the troops is expected to be complete in four to six months.
Approximately 3,000 additional troops from the 82nd Airborne Division will soon move to Europe.
