Triumph Group and the Triumph Group Foundation are set to support individuals and organisations that are assisting and treating people directly impacted by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Triumph will produce personal protective equipment (PPE) and components in its manufacturing facilities for oxygen distributors for first responders and local hospitals.

Additional donations have been provided to Philabundance Food Bank, Project Home, Operation Homefront, the Red Cross and the United Way.

Triumph Group chief information officer and Triumph Foundation executive Melissa Scheppele said: “These organisations provide food, financial and social services to individuals and families who may face additional hardships due to loss of work or shelter in place mandates as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The company is also offering its support to healthcare providers and hospitals fighting against the virus on the frontlines.

The Triumph Systems & Support site in Isle of Man is producing valves using 3D printers, in partnership with Nobel’s Hospital.

These values will be retrofitted on snorkelling masks and connected to oxygen distributors to create makeshift ventilator masks.

Manufacturing facilities are working with other local manufactures to produce approximately 650 valves per week.

The Triumph Systems & Support in Atlanta, Georgia, and Hot Springs, Arkansas, will aid the production of nonmedical fabric masks. These masks will reduce the spread of respiratory droplets to the face.

Other Triumph sites in the US will produce 3D-printed face shields. Facilities in Red Oak, Texas, and Park City, Utah, have the capacity to print approximately 1,000 units per week.

Additionally, the company is looking to print ventilator parts.
