Delivery of the vehicles is expected to commence this year and continue until 2021.

Oshkosh Defense joint programmes vice-president and general manager George Mansfield said: “When it comes to hauling mission-critical equipment, a reliable trailer is just as essential as the vehicle it supports.

“Whether it’s hauling ammunition, weapons, or other supplies, the JLTV-T is the only trailer that can keep pace with the JLTV’s superior speed and off-road mobility.”

Earlier this year, Oshkosh secured delivery orders from the US Army Contracting Command-Warren to upgrade the fleet of heavy tactical vehicles of the US Army.

Under the $346.4m contract, the company will modernise vehicles in the US Army and US Army Reserve FMTV fleets and manufacture new Palletized Load System (PLS) trailers.
