The US Army’s Mission Command Program Office has placed orders with Leonardo DRS for its Mounted Family of Computer Systems (MFoCS).

The orders have been placed as part of an indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract.

The contract covers dismountable tablets, processor units, docking stations, interconnecting cables, and three sizes of ruggedised touchscreen display units.

The MFoCS are next-generation combat computing systems that are being installed in ground combat and tactical vehicles to provide modular computing capabilities for the US Army and other services.

The computing systems are also being installed on military aircraft, tactical operations centres, army watercraft, and naval vessels.

These systems are said to provide warfighters with next-generation of computing and display technology with faster processing performance.
