The Spanish Army’s Infantería Acorazada Guadarrama XII Brigade (BRIAC XII) has demonstrated the capabilities of the BMS-Lince combat management system fitted on its light armoured vehicles.

Developed by Indra and Thales, version one of the BMS-Lince system is currently installed on six Leopard combat tanks and 14 Pizarro light armoured vehicles deployed in Latvia.

The system has been designed to help commanders plan and conduct ground missions by enabling vehicles to share information in real-time.

It is claimed to provide individual vehicle operators with a comprehensive vision of their surroundings and the ability to react to any situation.

"The system has been designed to help commanders plan and conduct ground missions by enabling vehicles to share information in real-time."

The touch control display terminals of the system will allow operators to efficiently navigate and interpret data by making selections directly on the interface,  improving their ability to make operational decisions in combat situations.

Indra and Thales have signed a new contract to adapt the BMS-ET version of the combat management system and install it in Spanish Army vehicles.

The deployment of the BMS-LINCE system has been carried out under the direction of the ET's Logistic Support Command.

The system includes a new video service that will improve intelligence gathering capabilities, enhance interoperability with other Nato forces, and enable the integration of new tactical applications.
