Russia will re-arm around 85% of its anti-aircraft missile troops by 2020, according to the division’s Russian chief.

Brigadier General Sergei Popov said the ongoing rearmament programme stipulated significant characters for the troops under his command, according to RIA Novosti.

“My branch will see 45% rearmament by 2015 and 85% rearmament by 2020,” he said.

The Russian armed forces would see 30% rearmament by 2010 and 70% by 2020, the military chief said.
