AAR to Supply CROPs to US Army

The US Army has awarded a $65m contract to AAR to provide container roll-in / out platforms (CROP).

A CROP is a rolling platform used to transport and deliver supplies and equipment across its multi-modal distribution system.

AAR president Timothy J Romenesko said the products contribute to an efficient supply line that ensures rapid response times and uninterrupted systems availability.

Beginning in the summer of 2010, platforms will be manufactured at the company's facility in Cullman, Alabama, USA.
