Lockheed Martin will provide support services for the sensor systems on the US Army’s AH-64 Apache helicopter under a $36.8m contract at the Arizona Support Center (ASC).
Under the contract, Lockheed will support the target acquisition designation sight / pilot night vision sensor (TADS/PNVS) and modernized TADS/PNVS (M-TADS/PNVS) systems on the AH-64 Apache helicopter at the ASC.

In addition, the company will also supply technicians to US Army Apache locations worldwide to install and test newly modified M-TADS/PNVS systems on the aircraft.
M-TADS/PNVS is an advanced electro-optical fire control system that provides Apache pilots with advanced targeting and piloting capabilities during any climatic conditions, enhancing the mission effectiveness.
Apache programme manager Colonel Shane Openshaw said every Apache battalion deployed in support of current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan was equipped with the M-TADS/PNVS system.
