India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is to test new military platforms during the ongoing Indian Army exercise, Vijayee Bhava, in northern Rajasthan, India.
The Indian Army will also test some of its new concepts that have been derived from its transformational studies performed over the last few years.
Concepts such as the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) units to enhance operational situational awareness will be validated during the exercise.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is also likely to test its satellite capabilities to connect to a real-time war-like situation.
About 50,000 troops are taking part in the exercise aimed at transforming the army into a lean and robust force, ready to tackle any security situation, according to the Press Trust of India.
