Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS) has signed an annually renewable contract to provide in-country maintenance of the Colombian Army UH-60 Black Hawk fleet.

Under the contract, Sikorsky-trained technicians will perform phase maintenance inspections to ensure fleet mission readiness for combat operations of the Colombian armed services.

The Colombian Army uses the UH-60L fleet to provide aerial support on air assault, reconnaissance, supply and other undertakings.

The fleet’s technical and tactical characteristics provide the army with required mobility and penetration to successfully execute a range of dynamic missions.

Work will be performed at the Aviation Maintenance Base in Tolemaida, Columbia.
