Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) will hand over five advanced light helicopters, Dhruv mkIII, to the Indian Army during the Aero India 2011 Air Show, commencing on 9 February 2011.
HAL chairman Ashok Nayak said the first batch of the advanced light helicopters, powered by Shakthi engines, will be handed over to the Indian Army as part of the 159 ALH programme.
“At Aero India, we will showcase our future products and technologies, our designing capabilities and the excellence we have achieved in manufacturing,” he added.
HAL will also display the attack variant of Dhruv, a fixed base full mission simulator (FBMS) and medium-lift transport aircraft.
The light combat helicopter (LCH) will also make its first flight during the air show.
