The US Army has awarded a five-year contract to L-3 Communications and Sierra Industries to provide lifecycle contractor support for the army’s UC-35 aircraft fleet.

The US Army’s Fixed Wing Product Management Office in Redstone Arsenal, Alaska, US, will be managing the multi-year contract.

The UC-35 jet is used by the US Army, Army Reserves and the Army National Guard to transport key command and staff personnel as well as essential cargo.

L-3 and Sierra will also work as a team to provide maintenance and modification services for the aircraft fleet, according to Bizjournals.com.
