General Dynamics (GD) has been selected by the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to compete for task orders under the MDA engineering and support services (MiDAESS) programme.
The US defence conglomerate will provide programme management and planning, technical, engineering and general-level support to the MDA’s systems engineering and test organisations if selected for task order contract awards.
The MiDAESS programme executes national engineering and support services for the ballistic missile defense system (BMDS) mission across the enterprise, and improves the sharing of expertise and knowledge across the agency.
GD is one of five awardees selected by the MDA.
The five-year contract, with no initial award value, has a $1.6bn ceiling limit for all awardees.
