Leonardo DRS has received a $206m contract to deliver vehicle installation kits (I-Kits) for the next-generation Mounted Family of Computer Systems II (MFoCS II).

The three-year contract was awarded on behalf of the US Army Project Manager Mission Command and PEO Command Control Communications – Tactical.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract includes up to seven optional years.

Under the contract, the Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business will provide cables, brackets and other associated hardware to support the installation of MFoCS II ware onto ground vehicle platforms.

During the US Army’s network modernisation plan, the use of MFoCS II systems is expected to increase the need for additional I-Kits or platform integration hardware.

The MFoCS II systems are a family of mission-critical platform processors, tablets and rugged displays.
