US-based automotive manufacturing firm Growler Manufacturing and Engineering has selected advanced spray-on coatings developed by LINE-X for use on the military-grade mobile welding trailer.
As part of an agreement between the two companies, LINE-X will deliver its polyurea coating for Growler’s combat-welding trailer called Mobile Tactical Welding Shop (MTWS).

MTWS is designed to provide military personnel with specific tools and equipment to carry out electric and gas cutting and welding on vehicles to keep them operational on the battlefield.
Equipped with two on-board engine-driven generators, an air compressor and its own braking system, the tactical welding shop is required to comply with a range of US military standards.
LINE-X’s polyurea coating includes chemical agent resistant coating (CARC) and meets chip, impact, wear and abrasion resistance requirements mentioned in MIL-PRF-32440B.
Growler Manufacturing and Engineering president John Crews said: “With protection, coating durability and extended lifecycle in mind, we needed a product that could outperform typical coatings. After evaluating several different options, nothing performed as well as LINE-X, so we quickly determined it was the right choice for this project.”
