Vehicle solutions provider AM General has unveiled its latest NXT 360 next-generation light tactical vehicle at Eurosatory 2018 Defence & Security International Exhibition in Paris, France.
Belonging to the high-mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV) platform, NXT 360 carrier offers enhanced power, higher gross vehicle weight (GVW), better ride and handling, and increased overall protection.
AM General president and CEO Andy Hove said: “What excites me about the NXT 360 is our ability to intently listen to the customer and utilise our engineering expertise to develop and deliver a solution that builds on the core strengths of the successful HMMWV platform.
“The NXT 360 provides added protection, payload capacity, and superior handling performance to perform in any rugged or urban environment.”
The new light tactical vehicle can be delivered as a completely new vehicle that can be incorporated into new missions, or as an upgrade kit that can be integrated into existing vehicle fleets to gain the same advanced capabilities.
The vehicle has been designed to offer greater survivability, enhanced off-road mobility, increased payload capacity and stopping capability, and increased power.
AM General is also displaying its HMMWV Hawkeye 105mm Howitzer Kit that provides enhanced lethality and capability to the HMMWV light tactical vehicle.
