Communications, cyber and intelligence operations solution provider Envistacom has secured a $11m task order to support US Army Global Tactical Advanced Communications Systems (GTACS).
Under the task order, Envistacom will serve as a GTACS prime contractor and provide SATCOM systems to operate in government’s commercial communications network.
In order to support theatre reachback communications, the company will design, engineer, install and commission two SATCOM earth terminals.
The new terminals will offer further capacity and resilience for all service branches to support missions and exercises within the theatre.
Envistacom will also prepare the sites (civil works), install, commission, train and support the systems.
Envistacom president Alan Carson said: “Envistacom is proud to partner with the US Army and the US Navy on this important program. It will enhance communications operations to better meet dynamic mission and training demands.
“We are proud the Department of Defense recognises our broad SATCOM expertise and our ability to execute programmes anywhere in the world.”
Envistacom delivers communications, cyber and intelligence operations solutions to the US DoD and coalition partners in the aerospace, defence, and intelligence communities.
