Elbit Systems has received a contract for the delivery of a Rotary-Wing Mission Training Center (Rotary-Wing MTC) to an undisclosed country in Europe.

Under the $96m contract, the company will also provide support services for the training of the helicopter pilots and crews of the defence customer’s armed forces, including the army, airforce and navy.

Work will be carried out over a period of nine years. It also has an option to extend maintenance services for another ten-year period.

Rotary-Wing MTC uses the technologies and operational experience gathered from the fighter aircraft tactical mission training centres of the company.

As a networked multi-platform, mission-oriented, helicopter training centre, Rotary-Wing MTC provides helicopter pilots and aircrews with multi-level training.

It will offer realistic simulated tactical training making use of all the systems of the helicopter in different mission scenarios.

Last week, Elbit Systems received a contract for the delivery of E-LynX Software Defined Radio (SDR) solution to the Spanish Army’s combat battalion level.

Recently, Elbit Systems revealed reorganisation plans of some parts of its business activities in a bid to boost value and performance.

The company will integrate activities in the areas, namely Precision Guided Munition (PGM), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Electro-Optical (EO) systems, Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signal Intelligence (SI).
