Booz Allen Hamilton has secured a prime contract worth $900m to support the US Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E) programme.
The company will provide engineering and technical support to strengthen the US military’s defence capabilities.
The contract has been awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
Lockheed Martin has been contracted by the US Army to provide army tactical missile system (ATACMS) surface-to-surface missiles.
Under the $364m contract, the company will produce the ATACMS missiles at its Precision Fires Production Center of Excellence in Camden, Arkansas.
Scheduled to be delivered in January 2021, the missiles will replace the existing Block 1 models that are in-service with the US Army and a foreign military sales (FMS) customer.
Leonardo DRS has received a contract worth $193m to supply Trophy active protection systems, developed by Israeli firm Rafael Advanced Defense Systems for the US Army’s new M1A2 Abrams tanks.
The Trophy active protection systems to be delivered under the contract will support immediate operational requirements of the US Army.
Leonardo DRS will also provide countermeasures and maintenance kits to the US Army under the contract.
The Trophy active protection system is designed to protect the troops from anti-armour rocket and missile threats.
Talbert Manufacturing Inc has been awarded a contract modification worth $42.95m by the US Army Contracting Command (ACC) for M872A4 trailers.
The company will produce and deliver 443 M872A4 trailers and associated components to the US Army.
The contractual work will be performed in Rensselaer, Indiana, until June 2019.
General Dynamics European Land Systems has secured a contract from the Brazilian Army Commission to deliver improved ribbon bridges (IRBs).
The contractual scope also includes the provision of trucks, a bridge erection boat, bridge adapter pallets, and integrated logistics support (ILS).
The IRB can be used as a multi-bay ferry and a floating bridge. Deliveries of the new IRBs are expected to start in 2019.
