Motorola Solutions has received a contract worth $495m to upgrade the US Army’s global mission-critical communications network.

The five-year contract covers the delivery of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) P25 subscriber unit radios, related accessories, warranty and ancillary services.

The modernised communications network will enhance the security and reliability of communications and improve interoperability between devices.

ManTech has been awarded a $959m contract to deliver enterprise information technology (IT) solutions to support an agency of the US Department of Defense (DoD).

The IT solutions to be delivered under the ten-year contract will help strengthen and secure infrastructure, networks and end points.

The solutions will be used to calculate the speed, accuracy and efficiency of IT systems and networks.

The US Army Contracting Command (ACC) has awarded a hybrid contract worth $249.6m to five companies for the US Army’s Waveform Development Environment Ecosystem.

The contract awardees, including Thales Defense & Security, Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems, General Dynamics Mission Systems, Rockwell Collins, and Harris will provide multiple waveforms and network services to the US Army, under the five-year contract.

The US Army has placed an order worth Skr426m ($50m) with Swedish firm Saab for additional anti-armour weapon systems.

Under the contract, Saab will deliver additional AT4CS (confined space) RS (reduced sensitivity) shoulder-launched weapon systems to the Army.

The fully disposable, preloaded AT4CS RS weapon features a unique shaped-charge warhead, which provides a behind-armour effect inside the target within a range of 20m to 300m.

Wamore has secured an $18.83m contract to provide Advanced Cargo Parachute Release System (ACPRS) to the US Army.

Awarded by the US Army Contracting Command (ACC), the contract also includes delivery of ACPRS coupling assembly.

The contractual work is scheduled for completion in July 2023.
