BAE Systems has secured a prime contractor position on a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) contract to help deliver worldwide military intelligence to policymakers, troops and defence leaders.
The Solutions for Intelligence Analysis 3 (SIA 3) is a multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract that will include providing worldwide coverage and support.
The contract includes a five-year base period and five one-year options. It has a potential value of more than $17bn over the ten-year contract period.
BAE Systems Intelligence Solutions vice-president and general manager Peder Jungck said: “We are delivering secure, cost-efficient services to maintain and enhance the mission-critical systems DIA relies on every day. We’re excited to continue our longstanding partnership with DIA and bring our next-generation talent to work for their mission.”
The company previously supported the DIA on the SIA 2 contract by providing analytic services.
In a statement, BAE Systems said: “The company will continue to bring a workforce of cleared personnel in highly technical fields with an excellent understanding of the customers, their mission, and their environment.”
DIA selected 16 companies for the SIA 3 IDIQ contract. Positions on the contract were awarded through an open solicitation.
The agency received 29 bids for the contract. Winners will compete for task orders under the contract.
Work under the contract is expected to be completed by August 2029. The companies will have to perform work at multiple locations in the US and abroad.
The list of selected businesses also includes Booz Allen Hamilton, Perspecta, Leidos and CACI.
