The RF section of the terminal includes Advantech’s Gallium Nitride (GaN) based technology, Solid State Power Amplifiers / Block-Up Converters (SSPAs/BUCs), X-Band from 20W to 100W, Ku-Band from 16W to 125W and Ka-Band from 10W to 40W.

Advantech Wireless Technologies business development vice-president Cristi Damian said: “Within a completely modular and integrated solution, the terminals can uplink two independent carriers (up to 50 Mbps each) allowing simultaneous communication with both upper and lower echelon.”

In January 2018, Advantech Wireless’ 1.2m Engage Class VSAT FlyAway Terminal was certified by a Nato customer.
