Pelican Products Canada, the Canadian headquarters of Pelican Products, a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced lighting systems and virtually indestructible cases, will present its innovative solutions to the Canadian Defense and Security community at CANSEC 2011.
Pelican Products has a long tradition of manufacturing tough, dependable and light flashlights for professionals who work in harsh situations and demand quality. From rugged Xenon and LED work lights to the IR and NVG-compatible lights, Pelican’s extensive array of advanced lighting tools has a lighting solution for just about any mission.
At CANSEC 2011 Pelican will introduce the 2490 Recoil™ LED (With Traffic Wand) light. To prevent FOD (foreign object damage) in an aviation or military environment, Pelican has introduced the 2490 Recoil™ LED (With Traffic Wand) as a secure, tough and versatile traffic wand. Engineered with a 2410 Recoil LED flashlight body, the 2490 features a polymer-based, opaque white traffic wand that screws on to create a secure and water resistant seal to prevent accidental separation. Additionally, it comes with a host of color discs (blue, red, green and yellow) which can be installed to create different color signals for various applications.
Pelican Cases and Pelican Storm Cases
Pelican offers two injection molded case lines, Pelican Cases and Pelican Storm Cases, extending its offering to more than 70 different injection molded case models.
At CANSEC 2011 Pelican will be presenting 1170 Pelican Handgun Case (472-PPWC-CPC). The legendary protection you would expect from a Pelican case with custom-cut foam that will fit over 22 handguns, including Glock, Beretta, Colt, Smith & Wesson and several others.
Pelican-Hardigg™ Inter-Stacking Pattern (ISP) Cases
Another new product that will be introduced at CANSEC 2011 is the ISP Case line. Designed to stay secure in transit, the new ISP Cases are engineered with a patent-pending ‘wave design’ stacking ribs on their lids and molded in-discs on their bottom that work in tandem to lock the cases together in a stack. The integrated wave design also allows for easy cross-stacking across all six models in the group and enhances their rotationally molded polymer construction’s load bearing properties. Optimized for most known pallet sizes including the U.S. Military’s new joint modular intermodal container system (JMIC), the ISP Cases are available in six sizes that can accommodate for a range from 0.1 to 0.7 cubic meters of usable storage space.
Pelican Advanced Lighting Systems
Pelican Remote Area Lighting Systems (RALS) can provide dependable, powerful and portable light to maintenance bays or locations in the middle of nowhere by harnessing the efficiency and dependability of light emitting diode (LED) technology. More importantly, these systems provide convenient and ecologically responsible alternatives to wasteful generator powered lights.
At CANSEC 2011 Pelican products will be presenting the portable 9440 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS) and the 9430SL (spot light).
The 9440 RALS features ten next-generation LEDs and a beam spread of 120 degrees that effectively lights a large area. Setting up in seconds, and weighing in at a mere 16 lbs., the 9440 RALS is built with a streamlined, self-deploying tripod for easy site placement and a nylon shoulder strap for simple transport. The 9440 RALS also features a telescoping light tower which extends more than seven feet and a light array that articulates 90 degrees.
The 9430 SL is a spot light version of the powerful, compact and portable 9430 RALS. The 9430SL features an LED array designed with a tightly focused, ten-degree spot light that illuminates hundreds of yards. Powered by a self-contained, maintenance-free, rechargeable battery, the system offers up to eight hours of peak brightness with 15 hours of total run-time. Built with versatility in mind, the system features a 360 degree swiveling telescope mast that extends to nearly three feet and a wide area handle for easy gloved grip and transport.
