Canadian Defence Review magazine has named Pelican Products, the global leader in design and manufacture of both high-performance protective case solutions and advanced portable LED lighting systems, on its list of 2011 Top 50 Canadian Defence Companies.
Pelican Products Canada, with a Canadian headquarters location in Edmonton, AB, and a Pelican-Hardigg Advanced Case Center facility in St.Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, was ranked 41 in the CDR annual survey for 2011.
“We are extremely honoured to receive this recognition from such a well-respected publication,” said Ed Meyer, general manager of Pelican Products Canada. “This award is a very important achievement for Pelican Canada and will certainly stimulate our team to continue delivering the toughest and most reliable high-performance case solutions and advanced lighting systems to the Canadian Defence community.”
Scott Ermeti, VP of international business at Pelican Products added, “This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our employees and to the superior products that Pelican provides to our defence forces.”
CDR’s annual survey and ranking of Canada’s top defence companies, now in its seventh year, expanded the annual survey in 2011 to include 50 defence companies, up from the previous 40. An evaluation panel consisting of CDR editorial staff and independent advisors ranked the companies based on factors such as economic impact, innovation, contribution to the nation’s security, and support of Canada’s military.
To be included in the survey, the companies had to meet certain requirements, including having manufacturing, R&D or service operations in Canada.
