Pelican™ Products, the global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced lighting systems and virtually indestructible cases for protecting valuable equipment, is pleased to announce that it now offers rotationally molded containers in Australia and New Zealand through its Australian subsidiary – Pelican Products Pty Ltd. Following the acquisition of Hardigg Industries, the world’s largest manufacturer of roto-molded protective cases at the end of 2008, the company now is the world’s largest source of the ruggedised equipment protection solutions.
“We have the world’s most diverse group of protective case and lighting solutions for harsh and challenging environments,” said Christian Nyman, managing director of Pelican Australia. “Our products are officially distributed in over 50 countries and we’re delighted to be offering these unrivalled packaging solutions to our diverse customer base in Australia and New Zealand.”
The Pelican-Hardigg case product line was a significant addition to the company product offering. This line of rotationally molded shipping containers cushions and preserves delicate equipment from the effects of mechanical shock and vibration, thermal environment and exposure to chemical agents and decontamination solutions.
Pelican-Hardigg rackmount cases offer light to extreme duty protection for hard drives and servers and boast significantly better shock performance than the competition. Removable lids on both ends allow rapid access to rear connections and front controls.
Pelican-Hardigg single lid cases are shockproof, watertight, dustproof, heat and chemical-resistant, which make them extremely tough.
Pelican-Hardigg cases meet a number of stringent military requirements including: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-2073, ASTM 4169, DC18, Def Stan 81-41 Level J, STANAG 4340 and ATA300 specifications.
The addition of the Pelican™ Storm Case® brand to the traditional Pelican™ case line expanded the offering to more than 70 different injection molded case models. Engineered for extreme, military and industrial applications, Pelican Storm cases and Pelican cases are the toughest on the market.
“Pelican products are widely used in the harshest environments, military, mining, safety, law-enforcement and emergency services,” says Christian Nyman.
Many of the company products have been combat tested by the UK, French, Irish and US Army, Navy, Marines, and Special Forces, as well as US Homeland Security, FBI, CIA and police.
