Techaya has launched the MILTECH 309, a military-grade Ethernet switch offering eight fast Ethernet 10/100 ports with board to board connectors. The ESoB switch is intended for larger systems that are looking to integrate miniature Ethernet solution while avoiding internal cabling.
COTS Military Tiny Ethernet Switch
Developed for avionic military and harsh environment applications, the MILTECH 309 features tiny packaging design for MIL-STD-810F airborne and ground environmental compliance while installed inside any rugged device. At a power consumption of only 2W, it can be powered by regular USB port and still supports 8 x 10/100 Ethernet ports. The unit has been especially hardened to improve ingress, impact and shock/vibration protection, as well as to eliminate all moving parts through passive cooling, and interface through board to board connectors.
Leveraging best-in-class switching technology from Techaya, the MILTECH 309 serves as a robust solution for providing local area network (LAN) connectivity to IP-enabled computing and net-centric devices. Compact in size, the MILTECH 309 is particularly useful for expanding port density in space-constrained airborne and ground vehicle environments.
MILTECH309 is specifically designed for:
- Data acquisition and transmission
- Battlefield communication C4ISR
- Rugged networks
- Mobile communications
- Combat vehicles
- Avionic and shipboard systems
