3MTM PELTORTM Communication Solutions has announced several new features for the 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac XPI Headset.
These improved features include:
- Voice-guided menu
- Silent mode
- Earplug mode
- More robust construction
- External input sensitivity
The new built-in ‘ghost voice’ feature helps with menu navigation and also provides low battery warnings. Additionally it is now possible to adjust the input sensitivity from your two way radio.
3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac XPI Headsets also feature earplug mode where a user can use dual hearing protection and still hear the surroundings while being protected from potentially hazardous noise with attenuation of 39 signal-to-noise ration (SNR), in combination with 3M™ E-A-R™ Classic™ Earplugs.
Safety is top priority for the firm when developing new products. With the 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac XPI Headset users can hear warning signals and communicate with colleagues.
Customers are also not isolated from the surrounding environment, with the bone conducting mic making it possible to use the product together with a gasmask and connected to a two-way communication radio. This helps isers communicate with people that are in their group or back the base.
