International representatives from industry and armed forces meet every two years in Paris on the worldwide largest exhibition in the military defense sector. This year again from 11 to 15 June DREHTAINER was able to present its products in the Eurosatory exhibition in an outdoor area of some 300m2.

This time the highlight was a display of the different mounting kits based on the Modular Flexible Drive (MFD) project study. Docking frames mounted on two parallel aligned vehicles allow to dock modular containers so as to create large working rooms suitable to host diverse applications. This docking technique was shown to the numerous visitors in individual dynamic presentations and attracted wide interest.

Another focus of attention was the protected version of a two-storey modular building that had already withstood several missile strikes in operations owing to its specific construction. The upper floor was formed by a ten foot watchtower cabin, a component that is meanwhile extensively used in the Bundeswehr. An innovation indeed was the roof-top-mounted adapter frame which enables the installation of the FLW 200 weapon station of KMW including either a heavy machine gun or an automatic grenade launcher.

To extend the service life of the widely used radio cabins, DREHTAINER has developed an adapter frame at dimensions of a 20-foot container. This frame including its inside mounted radio cabin was the linchpin of the Plath indoor stand. Thanks to the cooperation with this company DREHTAINER was able to present itself on several exhibition locations.

Many representatives from industry and diverse international delegations obtained information on the spot about DREHTAINER’s know-how in the field of container protection and customized container solutions.

Among the high-ranking guests were Mr Karl A. Lamers and Mr Robert Hochbaum as members of the defense committee of the German Bundestag as well as Mr Stéphane Beemelmans, Secretary of State in the German Ministry of Defense. Also Vice Admiral Joachim Rühle, Director Planning Division in the German MOD, and the Deputy Inspector of the German Army, Lieutenant General Bruno Kasdorf, paid a visit to DREHTAINER’s stand.
