In a ceremony on 27 May 2010 Mr. Antonius Sommer, managing director of TÜViT, presented the ISO 27001 certificate to the chairman of the board of ESG, Mr. Gerhard Schempp.

ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH is a leading, internationally operating system and software house for development and service processes of software-intensive, complex, high-tech and security-relevant products.

The responsible use of customer and highly sensitive data from military and civil projects is of significant importance for ESG. The confidentiality and availability of company values play a crucial role.

For this reason, ESG as one of the first companies in Germany decided to audit the security of their information and systems through a comprehensive information security management system (ISMS) by TÜViT to become certified by TÜV NORD CERT to the international standard ISO / IEC 27001: 2005.

“With the successful ISMS certification, ESG has achieved an important milestone in the evolution of the company’s security concept. The successful certification was not an end in itself, but stresses that information security at ESG has the highest priority in order to strengthen the trusting cooperation with our customers,” said Gerhard Schempp.

Information security comprises important measures to ensure adequate protection of all business-related information and also legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.

For more than four decades, ESG has ranked among the leading enterprises for the development, integration and operation of electronic and IT systems. More than 1400 employees worldwide provide services for clients in the automotive, military, government, and aerospace industries in the fields of logistics, system development, training and consulting.

Independent process and technology consulting is one of ESG’s key areas of expertise. Technology transfer between markets forms the basis for an important contribution to our customers’ value creation.
