Arctic Tiger 2012, a major military excercise involving aircraft from several nations, took place out of Ørland airbase, Norway between 29 May – 7 June. One of the participating squadrons was NATO’s No1 Squadron, operators of NATO’s E3-A aircraft for NAEWFC (NATO Airborne Early Warning Force Command).

During the excercise, Isode provided indirect support to NC3A (NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency) and NAEWFC participation in AT12, where our M-Link XMPP Server was evaluated successfully for its capabilities to reduce XMPP-client connection time over low-bandwidth links.

Further evaluation is on-going to determine optimal strategies for integration in the Airborne Network Capability.
