Systematic Opens Swedish Office

Systematic is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Stockholm, Sweden. The office, established as Systematic Sweden AB, will support the SitaWare and IRIS Enterprise License Agreements signed by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) in 2008 and the subsequent contract awards from 2011 and 2012.

"Today, the Swedish Armed Forces are one of our most important customers for defence products," says Michael Holm, president and CEO of Systematic. "Following last year’s deployment of our IRIS and SitaWare products into Afghanistan, together with new contract awards, we have felt it very important to be closer to our Swedish customer and so establishing an office in Stockholm to provide immediate service has been our top priority."

During the past 10 years Systematic has delivered C2 products to the Swedish Armed Forces. Initially, these were for interoperability test purposes but, since 2008, they have been used operationally in the EU Nordic Battle Group 2008 and 2011, and also in a wide range of operational headquarters as an integrated part of SWECCIS, the tri-service Swedish command and control platform.

The new office places Systematic in the same vicinity as FMV and also enables us to employ skilled Swedish nationals to assist with providing support. The first employees will be working with FMV at the C3I lab in Enköping.

Furthermore, it is hoped the new office will help to expand Systematic’s business to other areas within Sweden’s defence and security markets as well as to the healthcare sector.
