Systematic’s SitaWare command and control software and MASA Group’s SWORD constructive simulation software will be demonstrated by their partner ANDCOM LTDA (booth 129) at the leading Latin American defence event Expodefensa.

Together they will demonstrate how situational awareness, C2 tasks and constructive simulation can complement each other to provide a ‘C2 Classroom’ tool. The C2 Classroom is a fully-functional combination of two COTS products, MASA SWORD and Systematic’s SitaWare Headquarters. The tool targets applications related to C2 training, course of action analysis, war gaming and simulation support in concept and doctrine development.

"We truly believe that our automated and aggregated constructive simulation, SWORD, powered by MASA’s innovative artificial-intelligence technology, will enable leaders and decision makers in Colombia to ‘do more with less’ ", Juan-Pablo Torres, President and CEO of MASA Group, commented.

"As Colombia is the country with the most internationally recognized special operations, we believe that SWORD could be widely used in this nation to help further improve public safety preparedness through the use of state-of-the-art advanced technologies."

SitaWare Headquarters is a reliable, scalable command and control product that is easy to learn and use, provides extensive interoperability capabilities and fulfils all core requirements. Its open architecture and adherence to international standards means SitaWare can be rapidly integrated with a wide range of other C2 hardware and software.

If needed, SitaWare can also be customized to any special requirements through its extensive software development kits (SDK). The SDK includes a localization package that will support translation into any language by a local systems integrator.

SWORD is a powerful and open constructive simulation system. Using industry standards such as HLA and C-BML, SWORD is designed to be fully interoperable with C2, C4ISR and GIS systems as well as with other multi-level, joint and emergency management simulations.

SWORD helps users prepare advanced and realistic scenarios for the training of decision-makers in command posts and crisis centres. It can also be used for the analysis of military doctrines and emergency procedures.
