The latest release of web-based tool IRIS Standards Management is now available. Version 1.10 includes an advanced search feature and support for national messages.

IRIS Standards Management is a web-based tool for defining, managing and analysing structured information standards, which are essential for ensuring interoperability in many military systems.

The new version has an extended search capability to support the construction and execution of complex search queries. This enables users to select display results and allows them to export a set of search results to a digital storage (.csv) file, which can be read by software programmes such as Microsoft Excel. The search capability makes it easier to define and update messages, for example locating existing definitions of fields or sets that can be reused.

The new version supports defining messages deviating from the Allied Data Publication No 3 (ADatP-3) and the United States Message Text Format (USMTF) message specifications, for example defining national messages containing characters from non-Latin alphabets in set names.

The IRIS software framework is the accepted standard for military messaging and has more than 100,000 users in over 35 countries worldwide. The IRIS suite of software, which has been developed over more than 15 years provides users with combat-proven messaging capabilities.
