Deals this week: ST Kinetics, Cruz Associates, Raytheon


The Singapore Ministry of Defence has placed an order with ST Kinetics, a unit of Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Electronics), for next-generation armoured fighting vehicles (AFV).

ST Kinetics will produce and supply an undisclosed number of AFVs along with integrated logistics support including training, spare parts and documentation, as part of the contract.

Scheduled to be delivered beginning 2019, the vehicles are intended to replace Ultra M113 AFVs of the Singapore Army.

Cruz Associates has received a contract worth $140m to provide technical support services to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR(A)) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, US.

Awarded by the US Special Operations Command, the ten-year contract will cover technological, analytical and logistics services, which will help modernise aircraft and mission equipment of the 160th SOAR(A).

Parsons Government Services will provide advisory and assistance services to support the ballistic missile defence systems for a period of five years.

The US Army Contracting Command has awarded a three-year support services contract worth $31.36m to Raytheon.

The deal requires Raytheon to provide support services for the US Army’s AN/FPN-67 fixed-base precision approach radar (FBPAR) and AN/TPN-31 air traffic navigation, integration and co-ordination system.

The US Army Contracting Command has awarded a $41.1m follow-on contract to FAAC in support of the US Army’s Virtual Clearance Training Suite (VCTS) programme.

FAAC will provide block upgrades to the fielded VCTS systems in three phases, as part of the contract.

The deal will enhance the VCTS system’s training capabilities.
