Deals this week: BAE Systems, Vectrus Systems, Nexter


BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services and a number of other companies have secured a C4ISR professional services support contract worth $37.4bn from the US Army Contracting Command.

The five-year contract includes delivery of knowledge-based professional services for the US Army’s programmes with command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) requirements.

Vectrus Systems has won a one-year contract from the US Army Contracting Command to provide communications support services for the US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command and its subordinate units.

The $212.03m deal requires Vectrus Systems to provide support for the communications and information systems at multiple locations.

The Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) has placed an order with French weapons maker, Nexter, for CAESAR artillery systems.

"Nexter will manufacture and supply 15 CAESAR 8x8 artillery systems for the Danish Army."

The contract has options for an additional six units of the same type.

Elbit Systems has secured a three-year, $390m contract from an undisclosed European country to provide intelligence systems.

The scope of supply includes intelligence solutions, communications systems, and command and control systems.

The US Army Contracting Command has awarded a $39.09m training support services contract to Northrop Grumman Technical Services.

The contractor will provide support services required for army training, as part of the Army Force Generation process, until November 2017.
