Comtech Mobile Datacom has received additional grants to continue to support the US Army’s Blue Force Tracking (BFT-1) and Movement Tracking System (MTS) programmes.

The additional funding will provide for continuous supply of satellite bandwidth, satellite network operations, engineering services, programme management and other related professional support services.

Comtech Telecommunication’s president and CEO Fred Kornberg said the additional funding demonstrated the ongoing importance of the US Army’s BFT-1 satellite tracking and communication system.

Services under the contract for the programmes will run through 31 December 2011 and 31 March 2012 respectively.
