BAE Systems and Italian company Goriziane have agreed to jointly support the former's BvS10 armoured all-terrain vehicle.

The companies, which have already partnered in support of the BV206, now aim to collaborate to enhance marketing and sales for the BvS10.

BAE Systems Hagglunds general manager Tommy Gustafsson-Rask said: “Our new, extended agreement with Goriziane Group further demonstrates BAE Systems’ commitment to work closely with industries in the countries we do business in to support government programs and local economies.

“Goriziane Group’s excellent record of producing high-quality work has made it a trusted partner for years.”

Designed to operate in difficult terrains, the BvS10 offers fully amphibious capability for littoral operations and can access some of the world’s most remote regions.

The BvS10 is currently in service with several EU and Nato countries.

The BvS10 can be integrated with a variety of weapons with ammunition ranging from 5.56mm to 12.7mm, as well as a 40mm automatic grenade launcher.

Based on BV206’s design, the BvS10 is claimed to provide improved mobility and soldier protection against ballistics and anti-tank mines for the Italian Armed Forces.

More than 11,000 BV206s have been used in more than 40 countries over the last few decades.

The Italian military is one of the largest operators of the BV206 and BV206S vehicles.
